Between Embodiment & Identity at Inigo Rooms, Somerset House explores the extent biomedical visualisation technologies have influence our understanding of ourselves. The exhibition presents artworks by the artists Susan Aldworth, Andrew Carnie and Karen Ingham in collaboration with Richard Wingate focusing on the disparities between our outer and medicalised inner selves.
Accompanying this exhibition was a workshop, which I was unfortunate to miss, titled Between: Embodiment in Science Teaching with a keynote presentation by Natasha Myers (Department of Anthropology, York University, Toronto) titled “Molecular embodiment: performing the protein fold.”
